White BearBredon Road
Tewkesbury CAMRA's 'Pub of the Year 2018' for the fourth year running. Located on the north-western edge of the town, this good-value, family-run pub attracts ale and cider drinkers from far and wide. Handily situated close to the marina, it is popular with river users. The open-plan L-shaped bar offers room to play pool and darts; there is also a skittle alley. Live music features every Sunday afternoon 4 – 7p.m. The seven ales change frequently and include offerings from local and national award winning breweries. They are competitively priced and served in lined over sized pint glasses. The pub also offers a 20p discount on a pint of real ale to CAMRA members on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A range of at least five traditional perries and ciders are always offered, including Traditional White Bear medium dry farmhouse at 7.2% ABV which is produced exclusively in Worcestershire for the pub. There is also a cider and cheese festival held each May. The pub is family, dog and bike friendly and a ‘tardis’ adorns the spacious beer garden.
