Pub of the Month June

Pub of The Month June

Each month, Tewkesbury CAMRA will recommend to you a pub in our area which we think is worth a visit.

We will try and tell you which real ales they have on offer and link you to their own website if they have one!

This Month we are recommending - The Cross House Tavern, Cross House, Church Street, Tewkesbury, GL20 5AB

About the Pub

The Cross House Tavern's heritage has been restored with a great deal of dedication.

It has again become a Victorian style establishment serving real local Ales (including Vegan Beer), Ciders, Perrys, Wines and Snacks (all sourced within 20 miles). The beer is served from tapped barrels (kegs) much as it was when known as the Tolsey Inn and Coach House in the early 20th centrury.

Historic Interest

This building was originally built as two houses in the early 16th century. It was extended in the 17th century, and all extensively restored c1865 by Thomas Collins. He was a builder/restorer, who used it as his own home.

Changing Beers

This pub serves 6 changing beers.

Changing beers typically include:

Inferno --varies--

Ledbury Bitter

Malvern Hills Black Pear

Changing Ciders and Perries.

Hartlands

Minchews

Gilders

Out of the Orchard
